Greene County sheriff Jack Williams reports that his office, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a fatal accident involving a lawnmower in the 2100 block of W. Ave. south of Rippey, Thursday, June 19, at 3:35 pm.
Heather Lansman, 51, of Rippey was found pinned under a lawnmower under water in a small creek. Lansman had been mowing along the creek when the creek bank gave way, causing the mower to roll into the creek and pinning her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
